Obliquo

Oblìquo è uno sgabello dai tratti spigolosi e disorientanti. Il progetto nasce durante il periodo alla Peter Berhens School of Art di Duesseldorf. Con un approccio diverso rispetto a quello politecnico, l’accademia partiva dal “learn by doing”, da un intreccio di linee rette si è arrivati ad Oblìquo. L’essenza di zebrano è composta da striature semiparallele di colori diversi che viaggiano lungo le fibre del legno, una accanto all’altra senza mai incrociarsi.

Oblìquo is a stool with angular and disorienting sensational elements. The project was born during the designers’ school years at the Peter Behrens School of Art in Dusseldorf. By employing the same methodology in design as the polytechnic taught at the school, which was to “learn by doing,” the designer was motivated to create Oblìquo through learning the methods of weaving and observing straight and slanted lines. Zebrano is mostly made up of semiparallel streaks of various colors that move parallel to one another through the wood’s fibers without ever intersecting.
